As the Senior Software Engineer on the Robotics Development Kit (RDK), you will define our software and ML-driven approach to using simulation to rapidly adapt our robots to new tasks in the world.

We're hiring virtually, in addition to our San Francisco Bay Area, California office onsite.

Builder Opportunity:

  • Build out a world-class developer foundation to enable rapid deployment to new robotic applications
  • Define our approach to developing new use cases in simulation
  • Building the scaffolding to enable full digital twin development and testing, not just for our internal teams but for our partners as well

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
  • Hands-on experience implementing or building upon simulation frameworks
  • Proficiency in Python or C++ and willingness to pick up new languages or technologies as needed
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, collaborative and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team
  • Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with simulation-driven development
  • Experience in machine learning
  • First-hand experience with robotic or autonomous vehicle simulations
